‘Donder Slage’ and young British rider, Daisy McKinlay win the 7yr olds

‘Dashley’ with Aurelia Loser and ‘Korrigan HZ’ with Alix Ragot complete the podium

Daisy McKinlay and the mare ‘Donder Slage’ (‘Dominator 2000 Z’ x ‘Cannabis Z’owned by Mike McKinlay) were the winners of the 1.30, 7yr old 2Ph Sp today. They were the only pair to stop the clock in under 24s with the Swiss rider, Aurelia Loser coming in second on ‘Dashley’ (‘Lordanos’ x ‘Balou du Rouet’). Third and fourth paces were taken by the French riders Alix Ragot on ‘Korrigan HZ’ and Harold Boisset with ‘Carlo Van’t Prinsenveld Z’ (‘Casall’ x ‘Malito de Reve’). In fifth was Irish, Billy Twomey with ‘La Vie’.  There were 54 in the class with 33 going clear.

 

There were also 33 clears in the 51 strong 6yr old class, and ten of the 15 competitors in the 5 yr olds also jumped clear.

This started up the third week here at the III Andalucía October Tour, which is sponsored by ‘la Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte’ and co-financed by the European union.

 

This week we hold the CSIO3*, and the Young Horse classes, as well as a CSI2*. On Friday there is a Nations Cup with 15 teams participating. Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, United States and Spain.
