The highlight class of the day today was the 1.45 Small GP which was really competitive; in the end 16 horses went through to the very exciting jump off and there was just over 0.4 of a second between the top four.
The winner was French Alix Ragot with the very neat, ’Coldplay EJ’ a thirteen year old gelding by ‘Zilverstar’ x ‘Kashmir van’t Schuttersho’ in 38.52s
Really close on their heels was Brazilia,n André Reichmann with the thirteen year old stallion, ‘Cookie du Bassin’ who is by ‘Lando’ from a Fidelio du Donjon’ mare in just 38.61. Once again just a hair’s breadth behind and in third was Maximilian Lill for Germany with the eight year old gelding, ‘Kommandant 10’ by ‘Come il Faut’ x ‘Diarado’ in just 38.75s. In fourth was Armando Trapote for Spain with the ten year old gelding, ’Karl P’ by ‘Carrera VDL’ x Burggra’ in 38.94s. And finally in fifth for Switzerland, was Stefanie Lauber with the 12yr old, ‘Dealer des Forets’ by ‘Mozart des Hayettes’.
Gilles Thomas absolutely dominated the Medium Tour 1.50 today, not only winning this Saturday class once again, with the nine year old mare, ’Lavanoche T&L Z’ (Lavallino Ter Klomp’ x ‘Bentley Van de Heffinck’), their third victory in a 1.50 class here as they also won the Barceló Grand Prix on the 20th; but also taking second place with ‘Elfra Van Beek Z’ (‘El Salvador’ x ‘Vagabond de la Pomme’). The Belgian’s time on the winning horse was a mere 32.22s whilst that of second place was 33.24s. Third place went to the French rider Alexis Goulet with ‘Celine RBF Z’ (‘Cape Coral RBF Z’ x ‘Quadros 3’) in 33.37s; fourth was Álvaro González de Zárate with ‘Casper de Luxe’ (‘Casseus’) and in fifth was German, Helmut Schönstetter with ‘Eric Arwen’ (‘Diamant de Semilly’ x ‘Chacco Blue’).
French rider Nohlan Vallat was the winner of the 1.45 Small Tour class with the eleven year old gelding ‘Eole Cyclamen’,who is by ‘Malito de Reve’ x ‘Fidelio du Donjon’. Second and third were British riders, Eleanor Hall Mcateer with ‘Sacino’ and Jemma Kirk with ‘Leroy Van de Muggenhoek’.
The1.35 Big Tour was won by Portuguese, Hugo Tavares with ‘Berlouke AL Z’ in a very fast time of 66.04s. More than three seconds behind was the Italian rider, Andrea Pisani with ‘Star VH Dingenshof Z’ and in third was Swedish, Emma Emanuelsson with ‘Mr Perfect’.
France took the top two spots in the Medium Tour 1.40, the winner was Axelle Lagoubie with ‘Facelia du Jaolas’ followed by Alix Ragot with ‘Gold Sky de Pegase’. In third was Belgian, Lara Eggermont with ‘Kannet V.D. Rikse’. The 1.30 was won by Moroccan, Yassir Arbain with ‘Copacabana du Nord’, followed by the Dutch rider, Yoni Van Santvoort with ‘Dilly Dally Z’ and in third was Jude Burgess with ‘Starcent’. In the 1.20, Hungarian rider, Laszlo Toth was the winner with ‘Conmir T’, followed by the Swedish rider, Marta Elanter Wisten with ‘Chagall des Erables Z’and in third was British, Sophie Slater with ‘Labatt’.
The results of the Small Tour 1.35 were, French rider, Faustine Laferrerie with ‘Napa PS’ followed by Portuguese, Alice Laruça with ‘Karim’ and in third was Spanish rider, José Antonio García Diana with ‘Ditos. Moroccan, Mohammed Al Ahrach was the winner of the 1.30 with ‘Havane Danfer’, in second and third was the Spanish rider, Pablo García-Gallardo García with ‘Mona Lisa Van Dorperheide’ followed by ‘Leivia Z’.
The Classic Tour: British Molly Davies was the winner of the 1.30 with ‘Lamshire.Ryal.K’; Belgian Charlotte Berghmans with ‘So Easy KDW Z’, won the 1.20 and the Moroccan, Mounir Belkouch with ‘Dorco du Nevez’ was the winner of the 1.10 class.
Tomorrow is the last day of this week’s jumping here at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour, with the Andalucía Grand Prix as the highlight class of the week and not to be missed. There is plenty of action tomorrow with 14 classes, including three FEI Longines Ranking classes
