‘Give Me One Reason DK’ and Marie Demonte win the 8yr old class

Winners of the 7yr old classes are: ‘California 151’ with Leonie Böckmann and ‘BWE Vain Hero’ with Shane O’Reilly

Marie Demonte had another impressive win today here at the 30th Andalucía Sunshine Tour, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalucía, through Tourism and Sports of Andalucía.

 

Today this talented French rider, was partnered with the mare, ‘Give Me One Reason DK’, who is by ‘By Ceira D’lck’ with the dam by the legendary stallion,  ‘Diamant de Semilly’.  This was a speed class, set at 1.40m, on grass and this pair stopped the clock in 65.14s.  Not only that, Marie also took fifth place in the class with another mare, ‘Ganache de Riverland’.  A great day at the ‘office’.

 

Yuri Mansur, Brazil, was second with ‘Cerafina’, keeping up a great set of results with this mare by ’Calmando 3’ x ‘Chacco Blue’ and stopping the clock in just 66.37s.  Spanish, Fernando de los Santos, was third with ‘Geisha Batilly’ (‘Qlassic Bois Margot’ x ‘Numero Uno’) and another Brazilian rider, Felipe Guitano, was fourth with,  ‘Gandalf Mouche’.

 

‘California 151’, is a talented mare by ‘Cellestial’ x ‘Askari 173’, and ridden by German, Leonie Böckmann, and  she was the winner of the first 7yr old class today.  This was also a speed class, held in the grass, Hickstead arena. Leonie and ‘California 151’ stopped the clock with an incredibly fast clear, in 61.63 segundos.  Second was British rider, William Fletcher with ‘Secret Sunset’, in 64.24s.  In third was Dutch rider,  Micky Morssinkhof with the very consistent,  ‘Comme Ci Comme Ca’;  fourth was Belgian, Laurens Houben with ‘Hoover de Hus’ and in fifth was Yuri Mansur, this time with,  ‘Helma Mouche’.

 

The second 7yr old class was won by ’BWE Vain Hero’ (‘Ugadi Hero Z’ x ‘Darco’) ridden by Irish, Shane O’Reilly.  In second was ’Dalia del Maset’ with Spanish rider, Inma Roquet Autonell.  Third and fifth was Brazilian,  Joao Castro with ‘Ho Brother’ and ‘Lianos Sitte’ respectively.  In fourth was ‘Millfield Lottery’ with the British rider, Emily Ward.

The first 6yr old class was won by ‘Sweetie Van de Carena’ (‘Amadeo Van’t Vossenhof Z’ x ‘Toulon’) with Belgian, Joyce Fries.  In this 1.20, 2Ph Sp they stopped the clock in 30.91s.  Close behind in second, was ’Netflix VK’ in 30.96s with Irish, Max O’Reilly Hyland;  third was ’Full of Fire’ with Leonie Böckman;  fourth, ’Emeralds F1’ with Spanish rider,  Jesús Torrés García and in fifth was another Spanish rider, Álvaro González de Zárate with  ‘Chapeau PS’.

 

The 5yr olds had two 1.10 2PH Sp,  classes today.  The top two in the first class had British riders, ‘Kaboop CM’ won with Conor Moore on board and second was ‘Lelita HF’ with Emily Ward.  In third  was  Irish rider, Sophie Dalm with ‘Catharina Z’;  fourth was  Dutch,  Wim Vos with ‘Tsaar Van de Nachtegaele’ and finally,  in fifth, was another British rider,  Laura Mantel con ‘Chevy D’Or Z’.

 

The top three in the other 5yr old class, all had Spanish riders.  ‘Wonder Obolensky De Lis Coco’ with Fidel Dávila García;  ‘Doubongo’ with Ángel Cerdido Calderón in second and ‘Contharguitos’ with Waleska Pérez Hernández in third.  Fourth was Henna Simojoki from Finland with ‘Vivificantem’ and Kevin González de Zárate (Spain) was fifth with ‘Jackpot du Rozel’.

 

Tomorrow the Young Horses jump for the last time this week and we also start up the CSI4* with five classes.  The 4* continues to Sunday and culminates in the Grand Prix sponsored by the Diputación de Cádiz.  A qualifier for both the Paris Olympics and the 2025 Europeans.
