Harold Boisset wins again for France, with ‘T´Obetty du Domaine’ in today’s Ranking class
Irish, Cian O’Connor with ‘Fancy de Kergane’ and Brazilian, Eduardo Pereira de Menezes with ‘Nagano de la Pomme’ are joint winners of the Small Grand Prix
Its another win for the talented French rider Harold Boisset here at the III Andalucía October Tour. Riding ‘T’Obetty Du Domaine’, this pair already won the very competitive Vejer Trophy here this week and today they continued their success winning the Longines Ranking, 1.45 ACC class, which was held in the main David Broome arena. The talented 16yr old mare is by ‘Kashmir Van Schuttershof’ x ‘Diams du Grasset’ and topped the podium of 80 competitors in a time of 63.30s.
Taking second, in 63.93s, was his compatriot, Alix Ragot with ‘Coldplay EJ’ who also has a similar lineage, being by ‘Zilverstar T’ with the dam sire, ‘Kashmir Van’t Schuttershof.’ In third was the American rider, Zayna Rizvi with ‘Exit of Ice Z’ (‘Gelha’s VDL Emilion’ x ‘Tornado’) and fourth and fifth were taken by two very successful Irish riders, Niamh McEvoy with ‘Hybernia’ and Cian O’Connor with ‘Clown of Picobello Z’.
Cian was also the fastest rider in the Small Gran Prix today. This is always a very popular and competitive class and was split into two due to entry numbers; there were 18 riders in the jump off from the 120 competitors the class. Cian was riding ‘Fancy de Kergane’ stopping the clock in 38.9s and our other winner was Brazilian, Eduardo Pereira de Menezes with ‘Nagano de la Pomme’ in 39.75s. The fastest second place went to British, Skye Higgin who continues her great success here with ‘Gotcha’ and Spanish, José Fumero Hernández took the other second place, with ‘Figuier du Roc’; French rider, Marie Demonte with ‘Forban de Beliard’ and Anastasia Nielsen from Monaco with ‘Action Man’ were third.
The 1.35 2PhSp was won by Belgian rider, Emilie Conter with ‘Ocean Quality’; second was Swiss, Yannick Jorand with ‘Daylight VH Maressahof Z’ and third was Canadian, Mark Dean with ‘Kanselier V/D Donkhoeve’.
The 1.30 was won by British Claudia Moore with ‘Jadraque P’; Yannick was also second in this class with ‘Chaclago PS’ and third was Spanish rider, Marta Garat Macías with ‘Rapid Boy II’.
In the 1.20 the winner was British rider, Honor Draycott with ‘Lux de Lux’; second was Sara María Hank Guerreiro for Mexico with ‘H5 Cadiva’ and another British rider, Gabriel James Ball with ‘Mourinho’ completed the podium. The 1.10 had a British top two, from Lola Luchford with ‘Izar LB’ and Jonathan Jarman with ‘WII Fi’. In third was Spanish, Sol Daurella with ‘Bangkok de Mars’.
Alix Ragot was the winner of the 6yr old class with ‘Serafina DBH Z’ (‘Stakkato Gold’ x ‘G.Ramiro Z’) with Niamh McEvoy taking second on ‘BP Wonder’ and Dutch rider, Rogier Linssen in third with ‘Martini’.
The III Andalucía October Tour, is sponsored by ‘la Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte’ and co-financed by the European Union. Tomorrow we finish off the week with the highlight Grand Prix class, and Olympic qualifier for 2024, which is sponsored by the Diputación de Cádiz. The top riders here at the Tour will take place in this class which will be held at 10:30.
