Home win from Carlos Bosch Cebrián and ‘Jolie Van Der Berghoeve’, top of the 8yr olds

‘BP Tiny Dancer’ and ‘BWE Vain Hero’ are the winners of the 7yr olds

‘Agalove AB Z’, ‘Ijump’ and ‘Drapian Z’, are the winners of the 6yr olds

 

We are back up and running with the Young Horse classes here at Montenmedio today, with all the age groups taking to the arenas. The 5 yr olds jumped on sand today, with the 6, 7 and 8yr olds jumping on grass.

 

The 8yr olds had a 2Ph Sp in the HIckstead arena, set at 1.40m. Spanish local rider Carlos Bosch Cebrián ,was once again flying high with the lovely mare ‘Jolie Van Der Berghoeve’, who is by  ‘Jaguar VD Berghoeve’ x ‘Kannan’.  He was top of the podium with a super round in this 93 horse class and in all there were 43 horses that went clear.  Sanne Thijssen from the Netherlands also continues her run of success, this time with ‘Chiara VDH’ taking second place today and in third and also fifth was Swedish Petronella Andersson, third with ’Loharna-P’, and fifth with ‘Coyotte Pommex Z’. Slipping into fourth was British rider, again another name always in the results, Nicole Lockhead Anderson, with the very consistent ‘Mecoblue PS’.

 

There were two 6yr old classes;  in the first class, the winner was ‘BP Tiny Dancer’ (‘Plot Blue’ x ‘Concorde’), who had a very fast and established round with Irish rider,  Niamh Mcevoy, in just 20.58s . Austrian, Christian Rhomberg with ‘Rivera AEG’ stopped the clock in 22.42s coming second and Belgian, Ignace Philips De Vuyst with ‘Orlando’ was third. In fourth was another top Irish rider, Bertram Allen with ‘Grimble’ and fifth was French, Alix Ragot with ‘Serafina DBH Z’.

 

In the second class there was another Irish winner with Shane O’Reilly and ‘BWE Vain Hero’ (‘Ugadi Hero Z’ x ‘Darco’) coming in, in 21.47s and just slipping into the lead leaving Nicole Lockhead in second place in 21.50s with ‘Adonis VD Nosahoeve Z’;  third was Polish Maksymilian Wechta with ‘Next One’; and Belgian riders took the last podium spots, Thibault Vermeulen with ‘Mackencie’ and Viktor Daem with ‘Oxygene Z’.

193 horses jumped in the 7yr old classes with 90 going clear and adding a tally to their score for qualification in the Finals.

 

Swedish,  Sofía Westborg and  ‘Agalove AB Z’ (‘Aganix du Seigneur Z’ x ‘Indoctro’) were the winners of the first 6yr old class, in 64.31s.  Second was Portuguese,  Francisco Fontes with ‘SES Titanic’; Dutch, Philippe Houtackers with ‘Sagan V’; French, Edouard Le Boux with ‘Isiana de Treho’ and British,  Taio Strevett with  ‘Bellini O.S’.

 

The second 6yr old class was the biggest class here today with 123 competitors , giving us double results. The two winners were both Irish, Shane Dwan was the fastest of the day with ‘Ijump’ (‘Dollar Du Rouet’ x ‘Clinton’) in 64.53s and Sean Monaghan was the other winner with ‘Drapian Z’ (‘Dominator 2000 Z’ x ‘Gralshueter’) in 65.59s . Second was Spanish, Hugo Álvarez Amaro and ‘Cisco S Crack Z’ and he also came in fourth with ‘Chaturiosa PS’. The other second place was for Belgian rider,  Thibault Vermeulen with ‘Fahidi D’Elsendam Z’.  In third were Portuguese, Francisco Fontes with ‘Mylo Du Val Du Geer’ and Moroccan, Samy Colman with ‘Il Yad Du Villiers’ whilst the other fourth place went to Spanish rider, Javier Gutierrez Rilo with ‘Nino’.

 

In all 132 6yr olds jumped and 125 were clear.

The 5yr olds had a Faults no Time class today and 118 jumped with 84 going clear.
