Jesús Garmendia Echevarría with ‘Sandano 2’, Spanish winner of the Coca-Cola Trophy

Dutch, Skye Morssinkhof with ‘G-Vingino-Blue’ wins the Royal Bliss Trophy

Today the Spanish anthem rang out across the arenas here at Montenmedio for Jesús Garmendia Echevarría riding the 13 yr old,  ‘Sandano 2’, who is by ‘Sandro Boy’ x ‘Boixac S.A.’. This pair had an impressive win today in the 1.50 ACC, Coca-Cola Trophy, stopping the clock in just 53.85s. The closest to this time was French, Harold Boisset, continuing his success here, riding ‘T’Obetty du Domaine’, and who finished in 56.40s. Irish, Tom Wachman was third with ‘Cathalina S’; Fourth was Ricardo Pisani with ‘Charlemagne JT Z’ and fifth was American rider Paris Sellon with ‘Aconzina PS’.

 

Dutch, Skye Morssinkhof with ‘G-Vingino-Blue’ (‘VDL Zirocco Blue’ x ‘Orame’) was the winner of the 2Ph Sp, Royal Bliss Trophy, which was held on grass in the David Broome main arena. British, Will Edwards with ‘SHW Candies B’ was second followed by, Swiss, Thibaut Keller with ‘Arley de Vayrie’. In fourth was Norwegian, Ingrid Gjelsten with ‘Nevado de Toluca’ and fifth was Mexican, Enrique González with ‘Origi Van de Zeshoek’.

 

The results for the rest of the CSIO3* classes were; in the 1.40, Swiss rider, Timo Heiniger was our winner with ‘Ginja de F’. Second was Argentinian, Martin Dopazo with ‘Carlina Z’and third, was the Spanish rider, Iván Serrano Sáez with ‘Classique des Loups’. Fourth was Brazilian, Eduardo Pereira de Menezes with ‘H5 Virtuose D’Eole’ and fifth, Portuguese, Duarte Seabra with ‘Jimena’.

The CSI2* results were as follows: British Ben Walker with ‘Balloon Cruise’ and  Timo Heiniger with ‘Connor Ege’ were the two winners of the very popular 1.40 class of 133 riders. Another Swiss rider on top form today was Yannick Jorand with ‘L’Arc En Ciel Z’ winning the1.35; and Spanish Irene Mónica Horvath Jaume with ‘Ventura Mail’ won the 1.30.

 

‘Geisha Batilly’ ridden by Spanish, Fernando de los Santos won the 7yr old class with almost 3 seconds to spare Spanish rider. The 6 yr olds was won by one of the top Irish riders here, Niamh McEvoy with ‘BP Wonder’.

 

The III Andalucía October Tour, which is sponsored by ‘la Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte’ and co-financed by the European union and continues tomorrow with a busy day of jumping and the Nations Cup. 15 teams will be taking part by ordered draw as follows: Denmark, Portugal, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Sweden, United States, Colombia, Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, Belgium, Argentina and Ireland. This starts at 12:00 in the David Broome arena and the course is set at 1.50 and by the international course designer, Javier Trenor.
