Irish rider Marta Hughes-Bravo, representing the Bravo-Hughes stable led by her parents Miguel (POR) and Marion (IRE), claimed victory in the highlight class of the weekend aboard the experienced “HHS Figero”. It marked a third win of the day for the HHS stable, following earlier victories by Max Foley in the 6- and 7-year-old divisions with “HHS Private Ryan” and “HHS Lexington”.
Matthew Sampson, winner of Friday’s main class, finished second today riding “Un Secreto Z”, while fellow Irish rider Niamh McEvoy secured third place in the Clipmyhorse.TV Trophy with “MB Lorenzo R”. Fourth place went to Laura Baaring (NOR) & “Guppie VDL”, with Georgia Tame (GB) finishing fifth aboard “Lucky Chance Z”. The best Spanish result came from Jorge Bidón Daurella, who placed ninth with “Cormira by P&S Z” (0/4 in 43.45s).
Twelve combinations out of a total of eighty-two starters advanced to the jump-off, where only the top five managed to produce double clear rounds. The class was held in Arena 5 (Milton) and designed by Spanish course designer Luis González Molina and his team.
With this Grand Prix, the fourth week of competition at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour 2026 comes to a close. The event receives institutional support from the Junta de Andalucía — through the Regional Ministry of Tourism and Andalucía Exterior — and the Provincial Council of Cádiz. Competition resumes next Tuesday with Week 5 and a CSI4*, marking the beginning of the second phase of the ASST 2026 season.
Earlier in the week, Matthew Sampson & “Latte Macchiato” claimed victory in Friday’s main class, ahead of Ciaran Nallon in second place and Spain’s José A. García Diana in third with “Marola P&M”. In Saturday’s feature class, Estonia’s Margareth Eikner & “Corvette 2G Z” repeated their opening-day success of this CSI2*. Spain’s Micaela Álvarez, Nicolás Bidón and Gerardo Menéndez also delivered double clear rounds in Saturday’s main event.
In Sunday’s 1.40m CSI2* class, victory went to Great Britain’s Jessica Hewlett with “Mosandro van Perbeemd” (0 – 60.00s), followed closely by Emma Manton (GB) & “Vanilla Fusion” (0 – 60.08s) and the Netherlands’ Thijmen Vos & “Feliek-H” (0 – 61.87s).
The 1.35m class was won by Belgium’s Juliette Berghmans & “Artichaut de Lolif” (0/0 – 32.00s), ahead of Morocco’s Jad Guerraoui & “No Nonsens” (0/0 – 33.85s) and Portugal’s Mario Wilson Fernandes & “Napels” (0/0 – 35.42s).
In the 1.30m class, Britain’s Jude Burguess proved fastest with “Leestone Nicolas”, with Spain’s José David Caraballo finishing second aboard “Leeuw” and Ireland’s Gerard Campbell third with “Coldplay I”. The 1.25m class saw victory for Taio Strevett (GB) & “Harrop Grigio”, followed by Margareth Eikner (EST) in second with “Cardentos Rose Dree Boeken” and Amelie Gachoud (GB) in third riding “First du Murger”.
Young horse competition continued with the CSIYH 6- and 7-year-old divisions, jumped at maximum heights of 1.25m and 1.35m respectively. In the 6-year-olds, eight clear rounds were recorded, with Ireland’s Max Foley & “HHS Private Ryan” taking victory. In the 7-year-old class, nine combinations jumped clear, giving Max Foley his second win of the day aboard “HHS Lexington”.
