Victory for Harold Boisset, in the ‘Ayuntamiento de Vejer’ trophy

Riding ‘T´Obetty Du Domaine’ he took the top spot from long time class leader, Jesús Garmendia who finished second on ‘Valut 2’

Top French rider Harold Boisset was top of the podium once again here at Montenmedio. Yesterday he was the winner in the 7yr olds and he today, was the winner of the 1.45, ‘Ayuntamiento de Vejer de la Frontera’ Trophy with ‘T’Obetty du Domaine’. The class was held in the Milton arena and had 90 participants. This super athletic mare is 16yrs old and by ‘Kashmir Van Schuttershof’ x ‘Diams du Grasset’, owned by Bertrand Barascud. They stopped the clock in 64.51s just ahead of Spanish, Jesús Garmendia Echevarría who led the class from early on, with Valut 2’, a 13yr old by ‘Valentino 240’ x ‘Foxhunter’.

 

Third was Italian, Ricardo Pisani with ‘Charlemagne JT Z’ (‘Cachas’ x ‘Carthago Z’); fourth wascIrish Niamh Mcevoy with ‘BP Limitless’ (‘Elvis Ter Putte’ x ‘Laughton’s Flight’) and fifth the Dutch rider, Skye Morssinkhof with ‘G-Vingino-Blue’ (‘VDL Zirocco Blue’ x ‘Orame’).

 

The Mayor of Vejer, Antonio González, gave out the prizes along with the minister for Vejer Sports, José Ligero Sánchez and the minister for Citizen Security, Francisco Javier González Sánchez.

 

The 1.40 class was divided into two sections with 136 participants. British Kayleigh Watts had the fastest time of the day with  ‘Sacino’, a 10yr old by ‘Pacino’ x ‘Corland’, in 56.65s. The other first place went to Jesús Garmendia Echevarría with ‘Ulises del Pomar’ (‘Cassander C’) in 56.76s.

 

Second were Spanish, Luis Ortiz Agüera with ‘Land Ho Mister Mars’ and British, Alena Hughes with the very successful ‘Grannuschka’. Third was Harold Boisset with ‘Bronco Depaban’ and Swedish,  Pontus Westergren with ‘Hastkullens Dimarabou’.

The 1.35 was won by Spanish Elena Appendino with ‘Iceman’. Completing the podium were British, Ben Walker with ‘Fygo Von D’Ouwe Grint’ and American, Samantha Kasowitz with ‘Positano’.

 

The 1.30 was also divided into two; the winners were British,  Will Edwards with ‘Magic Chianti’ and  Ben Walker with ‘Balloon Cruise’.

 

Once again the 7yr old class was dominated by French riders taking 6 of the top 7 places! The winner was ‘Gentleman Riverland’ ridden by Marie Demonte who was also fifth with ‘Give Me One Reason DK’. Second was ‘Gambero Dinero’ with Emmanuel Bertho; third was ‘Carlo Van’t Prinsenveld Z’ with Harold Boisset who was clearly having a great day. Fourth was ‘Korrigan HZ’ with Alix Ragot. There were 48 in the class and 28 went clear.

 

Alix Ragot was also the winner in the 6yr old class with ‘Serafina DBH Z’. Polish rider Natalia Czernik was second with ‘More Than Special MG’ and third was Spanish, Alejandro Fernández Sánchez with ‘Balthargos PS’. Fourth was Molly Hay (USA) with ‘Aliki Z’. There were 55 in the class with 32 clears.

 

In the 5yr olds Molly was riding ‘Tangilo Wi Ro Z’ and won the class just in front of ‘Orelia’ ridden by the Portuguese, Rafael Dinis Rocha. ‘Nairobi BMH’ and Antonia Andersson were third and also a quick mention for British, Deborah Jackson who took both fourth and fifth places with ‘Duchess Z’ and ‘Ares’ .

 

These are the main results today here at the III Andalucía October Tour, sponsored by the ‘Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte’ and co-financed by the European Union. Tomorrow we have seven classes, including the first 1.45 Ranking class of the week.
